Paris in December

Paris in December

December 21, 2014  |  Personal, Travel

I love Christmas. That won’t come as a surprise to anyone who knows me. It was a special time when I was a kid, and it’s special now. Both of our girls get home today, and I look forward to our rituals and traditions. The house is ready for them — it’s sparkly and it smells good, and that’s how it should be.

Todd and I spent the first two weeks of this month in Paris. That’s a city that loves Christmas too. It was wonderful to be there on cold winter days, and to feel the anticipation in the air. In the shops and the holiday markets, in and around all the iconic monuments, under gray skies or the low-slanting sun, it was beautiful.

So here is my Parisian holiday card, sent to you with warm wishes for little moments of joy this season and all the best in the new year.
